Giorgos Sigalos

Clinical Embryologist

George Sigalos is a biologist, graduate of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

In 2009, he completed his military service, serving as an assistant to the Microbiological and Biochemical Laboratory. In 2010, he completed his postgraduate programme in “Reproductive and Regenerative Medicine” at the Athens Medical School.

In 2010, he was certified as a clinical embryologist and in 2014 as a senior clinical embryologist by the European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) after having successfully completed a written examination.

He is a member of the embryology laboratory of the Reproductive Medicine Unit and completed his PhD in optimizing the techniques of embryo transfer.

He has attended numerous workshops on sperm parameters (ESHRE accredited), embryo biopsy techniques for pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (University College London) and on gametes and embryo cryopreservation techniques (IVF-Bilbao).
