Assisted reproduction is defined as all treatments or procedures for the purpose of establishing a pregnancy. Procedures vary depending on the reasons of infertility faced by a couple.
Assisted reproduction includes:
Gynaecological and andrological examination to detect possible reasons for infertility.
Monitoring of the monthly menstrual cycle and ovulation.
Selecting the appropriate protocol with or without medication.
Intrauterine insemination (IUI).
Conventional in vitro fertilization.
