The procedure for cleansing and activating the semen is carried out as mentioned in the previous pages.
However, the final volume loaded into the catheter transferred to the endometrial cavity should not be too large if the volume of the concentrated sample that the matrix can accept is specific and limited. The flexible catheter used is made of soft material so as not to injure the cervix while the passage through it is relatively easy.
When a sample is given to the laboratory then it is evaluated and processed by density gradient centrifugation (see A), while the materials used depend on the sample parameters. After about 1 hour, the sample is ready to be “loaded” into the catheter and delivered to the physician to perform the procedure.
