The success rates for cycles involving a controlled mild ovarian stimulation range from 10-20% for each attempt, under the conditions that the sperm displays parameters within normal limits and the tubes are traversable. If a pregnancy is not achieved after an average of 4 well studied IUI attempts, then the usual practice is to proceed with an IVF, since the procedure we are following is insufficient for a treatment. In addition, the more time lapses without achieving the more a woman’s anxiety increases, thus adding a further serious obstacle towards a successful result.
